Portland, OR, June 1, 2022 — After almost a year-long search, the LatinoBuilt Board of Directors is excited to announce and welcome Osvaldo “Ozzie” Gonzalez as their new Executive Director. We were looking for someone who was bi-literate and bilingual who was as passionate as we were about the Latino Construction Community,” said the Board.

Osvaldo "Ozzie" GonzalezGonzalez’s background as a business owner, architect, and DEI agent, combined with a deep passion for promoting community-based initiatives and equity programs, will help advance the mission of LatinoBuilt, a three-year-old organization.

“We welcome Ozzie as our new Executive Director,” says Rosa Martinez, Latinobuilt’s Board President. “He is well respected within the community and will bring experience, energy, and great communication skills to our organization. Ozzie was one of our first members! We are thrilled to have him, and we look forward to a successful partnership with him at the helm.” “We see him benefitting our contractors and the entire community for years to come.”

Gonzalez will start on July 1st and will manage day-to-day operations for the organization, known for its cultural competency educational programs for Latino construction contractors. Gonzalez will also lead strategic development, fundraising programs, as well as, partnership community engagement initiatives.

Gonzalez currently is the owner of P3 Consulting, a practice that fosters excellence in sustainability & equity across businesses. He serves on the TriMet Board of Directors, a Governor-appointed representative for District 2. Before that, he was the Director of Diversity and Social Responsibility at Howard S Wright. His role supported workforce development efforts regionally and partnered with industry allies to diversify the local labor and subcontracting pool. As Global Sustainability Director at CH2M Hill, Ozzie oversaw the Industrial & Advanced Technology Division’s Green Building Design Integration and Project Certification Services. Ozzie has also contributed to the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME) as their sustainability expert and tradeshow Emcee. He brings to the role decades of experience in developing high-impact programs that elevate diverse workforces. “As you can see, Ozzie is well-equipped to empower our LatinoBuilt team and our community to implement change in the trade industry— We’re excited about this next stage of growth for the organization and can’t wait to see where we go!” said the LatinoBuilt Board of Directors.
